Through music and art, we intentionally shape God’s gifts into an offering. We have musical opportunities for all ages – senior choir, youth choir, musicals and pageants for our young people, contemporary music groups for our Wednesday evening service, and a team of people who play our magnificent bell tower carillon for all of St. Catharines to hear! We have the Krafty Korners, who meet for fellowship, sewing, knitting and quilting, but we also have our video team engaging in the much more modern art of live-streaming our services. Our Altar Guild takes care to shape our historical church into a place of great beauty, where the prayer and praise of all of us can be lifted up.
We are a singing congregation with a rich tradition of music at the heart of our prayer life. Acclaimed Music Director, Composer and Organist, John Butler, leads practice on Thursday nights, from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. New members are always welcome.
Vacation Bible School
Offered each summer, with a focus on how art and music can lead us into knowing and loving God.
We meet on Tuesdays from 10am to 2pm. We find that many hands make light (and beautiful!) work, and that deep and lasting friendships are formed around a shared joy for sewing, quilting, knitting, etc.
There are 23 bells in our tower which constitutes a carillon – the oldest being from 1847. Chimers facilitate our church bearing witness to its presence in the community, to the celebration of weddings and worship, to the marking of solemn remembrance, through the most evocative tradition of bell ringing.
George Express Youth Choir
– Ages 7 to 14 –
Children learn about their faith and help to lead our church’s prayer through the power of music.
Whether it’s through the festival flowers for special occasions or the care we take with the behind-the-scenes work that attends to the details of worship, this large and dedicated team brings beauty and thoughtfulness to our communal life.
We have a growing ministry and on-line presence. We are always looking for more people able to help with filming portions of our service and uploading the videos to our youtube channel.
Niagara-renowned, our Christmas Bazaar is a step back in time! It is a collaborative effort of the entire parish, featuring hand-made, home-baked Christmas goodness and a Café Lunch that has no equal.
Do you play an instrument? Sing? Looking for a musical experience in more of a rock, jazz, bluegrass, or folk idiom? We have several new musical ensembles in our new evening worship service. Let us know about your passion!
