Put Your Talents to Work:
There are lots of ways to put your talents to work at St. George’s. Some people are asked to serve as appointed staff (wardens, greeters, visiting lay people, lay readers), and if you have had experience in one of these roles, feel free to approach the clergy about filling a similar role at St. George’s. Others sing in the choir, volunteer with the Community Breakfast program, the Christmas Bazaar Committee, or create items for donation or fundraising with the Quilting and Craft group. Our Monday Men work at a variety of projects to maintain our lovely buildings, and you can also volunteer to work on the gardens at St. George’s or learn to arrange flowers for the altar. To inquire about any of these, send us an email using the form on the Contact page.
Social Activities at St. George’s:
Social activities are a great way to make new friends: they include Chili and Trivia night, our Golf Fundraiser, concerts, day trips to various locations with Reverend Val, the Travel club, the Supper Club, the Brotherhood of Anglican Churchmen dinner and presentation evenings for men, the Bishop Beattie Fellowship for women, the GenNext group for younger adult members (under 50), etc., etc.
